Statement from PC regarding Recreation ground Little Wilbraham

Please see statement from Little Wilbraham and Six Mile Bottom Parish council regarding recent activity at the recreation ground Little Wilbraham

Recreation Ground at Little Wilbraham

On 3rd December, the Parish Council became aware that unauthorised earth works had been carried out at the Recreation Ground, apparently with a view to creating a bike trail. After inspecting the site, the Council concluded that elements of these works – notably the installation of wooden pallets – presented the risk of serious injury. The pallets have been removed accordingly.

The Parish Council welcomes representations from residents on further amenities to be installed on the Recreation Ground, to complement the children’s play area and tennis court (now adapted for other sports as well).  Please contact in the first instance either the chair or the clerk of the Parish Council with suggestions; or, to speak to the council in person, attend the open forum session at the beginning of any Parish Council meeting.

The next meeting of Little Wilbraham and Six Mile Bottom Parish Council will be held at 19:30 on Thursday 15th January 2026 at The Wilbrahams’ Memorial Hall, Angle End, Great Wilbraham, Cambridge CB21 5JG.
